Florence Dring
Florence Dring (née Tang) 鄧元皓
Florence Dring’s work reflects a lifelong passion for nature. Her creativity was nurtured by the freedom of expression in her early schooling. She developed further through formal art classes and by studying Architecture and History of Art
After a career in real estate, she refocused on her love of nature. She retrained in horticulture at Capel Manor where her love of plants deepened into daily practice.
Today, the children at Highgate Primary School benefit from her knowledge and enthusiasm for gardening through her work with them in the school’s allotments and gardens.
In her paintings, Florence brings together an architect’s eye for composition and an Impressionist’s sensitivity to light, colour and movement. Her works explore nature in its intricate details and capture its fleeting beauty and the cycles through the seasons.
This is her first exhibition at Highgate Art Fair.
