Aboriginal Art
Aboriginal Art UK is an Australian-owned gallery based in the UK, specialising in ethically sourced works from Aboriginal communities. Founded over fifteen years ago by Nadia Phillips, the gallery has built close relationships with art centres and artists, most notably Barbara Weir from the renowned Utopia community. Barbara, the niece of the iconic Emily Kam Kngwarray - currently the subject of a major Tate Modern retrospective - was a longstanding collaborator.
The gallery will showcase a selection of Barbara’s work alongside paintings by other Utopia artists. Visitors will also find works from celebrated Papunya Tula and Ampilatwatja painters, as well as pieces by contemporary East Coast artist Konstantina, whose practice bridges generations and Country.
