Laura De Benedetti

Laura’s thrown porcelain tableware is a discovery of textures and colours and everyone will find connections to their own emotions.

She is inspired by the landscape of the Italian coastline, where she was born, and she started producing flowing wet into wet rich watercolours. 

Then the work continues in the studio at the wheel where the hands lead and the forms are created using porcelain. Forms are often modified and manipulated while still wet to allow soft folds to appear.

Crystalline glazes offer a liquid and sensuous runny surface to give each piece its individual beauty.
