Concertina Sketchbook Magic: Learn how to use a concertina sketchbook to create dynamic, flowing artworks that unfold into beautiful visual narratives. This versatile format will help you think outside the traditional boundaries of art-making.

Unfold your Imagination
with Eloisa Henderson
Workshop details
Adults and children attending the workshop will have the opportunity to look at examples of textile collage and applique, before experimenting with techniques and creating your own textile artwork.
Taking inspiration from marine forms, looking closely at plankton and learning about the marine ecosystem and it’s history. You will use bondaweb, a heat activated textile adhesive (hot irons to be used by adults only). Sophia will provide a demonstration of applique using needle and thread. This workshop will be a relaxing and playful activity using colourful fabrics to enhance your designs.
All attendees will be able to take their piece home.
Artist Statement
Sophia Marinkov Jones is an artist and illustrator based in North West London. She often works on paper and with hand-dyed textile, collage and paint.
Sophia's imagery features communities of people, creatures and plants, bridging her interests in art, ecology, symbolism, history and storytelling. She is also experimenting with puppetry and sound, to explore how her visual language could be animated. She enjoys teaching and collaborating, and is fascinated by the works that others create! All materials will be provided.

Mixed Media Landscapes

Workshop details
Rosalind will be running a workshop inspired by the work of the contemporary British Artist David Wightman who is featured at this year’s Highgate Art Fair. Learn how to produce your own initial design and use printing and collage techniques to create your own abstract landscape.
Artist statement
Rosalind Davis is an Art and Design Teacher with nearly 20 years experience of managing and delivering art lessons and workshops for schools, nurseries, community groups and at public events, parties and art fairs across London and the UK. She also offers bespoke art tuition for Primary, GCSE & A Level students as well as portfolio preparation for entry to Foundation and degree courses. She has a PGCE in Secondary Art Education (The Institute of Education, UCL) and a BA in Ceramic Design (Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, UAL). Rosalind worked for 10 years as a Secondary Art teacher in outstanding schools across North London and now works as a freelance artist-educator having established Puffin & Ink Art Classes in 2020.
Rosalind was born in North London and has three children. She is passionate about providing high quality, educational experiences in a nurturing, supportive environment and loves sharing her knowledge and practice with children and adults. All materials will be provided

Introduction to Pottery for Parent & Child
with Amy Wilson
You and your child will learn pinching and coil building techniques to create pots with fun decorative elements. We will have a few coloured slips you can use to add to the fun! Your finished pieces will then be dried and taken to be fired, glazed with a transparent glaze and fired again.
Artist Statement
Amy is an an artist working predominantly with ceramics. She loves to work with the earth, and travel with it through its elemental processes with water, air and fire. Her work has an ancient feel, but is intuitively made, believing her hands follow the movements human hands have made with clay for thousands of years. All materials will be provided, you also take the pinch pot home once it has been fired in the kiln. A collection date can be arranged at the workshop.
